SHAMBA Eswatini
Establishment and mission
The SHAMBA Trust (Eswatini) was established on 11
March, 2011 as An Association Not For Profit in
terms of Section 17 of the Swaziland Companies
Act.
Our aim is to develop the capacity of communities
to provide disadvantaged children from AIDS
affected households with an equitable foundation
to lifelong development through the provision of
high quality early childhood care and education.
Staff
SHAMBA Swaziland is governed by volunteer
Directors (move the cursor over the photo to see
biodata).
Directors
The work of the Trust is undertaken by two
volunteer executive directors (Drs Anne and
Allan Low - see above) and twenty paid staff

Seraphy Resting
Sinethemba is a company director. She joined the
SHAMBA Board in 2019. She brings many years of
experience of company administration and dealing with
corporate finance and legal issues.
Allan Low
Allan has 23 years experience as an agricultural
economist in Southern and Eastern Africa. He wrote a
text book on Agricultural Development in Southern Africa
based on his early work in Swaziland. Allan decided to
settle here after retiring.
Rose is the support worker at the Maplazini preschool.
She joined SHAMBA in 2019 and was trained by Teresia
at Nkoyoyo. She is from the Maplazini community.
Joy Rockley-Zwane
Joy grew up in the UK and attended university there.
She came to Swaziland in 1983 to get married. She
has two children and works as a dentist in her own
practice in Mbabane.
Thembi Silombo
Thembi attended school in Piggs Peak in the North of
Swaziland. After leaving school she gained an AAT
accounting qualification and is currently enrolled with
UNISA pursuing her BCOM degree. In 2004, she joined
FNB where she is now a member of FNB 's Junior Board.
Nonhlanhla Dlamini
Nonhlanhla is our ECD officer at Nkoyoyo preschool. She
joined SHAMBA at the end of 2015. She has a GCE
certificate, a certificate in Phychological Support from
the University of Eswatini and a certificate in Pre-
School Teacher Development from the Baha’i
Community Schools.
Teresa Magagula
Teresa is our assistant ECD officer at Nkoyoyo preschool.
She has been with SHAMBA since 2011, when we started
our first preschool at Nkoyoyo. She is a resident of
Nkoyoyo and a member of the Swedish Free Church,
whose building the Nkoyoyo preschool occupies.
Tandzile is is our ECD officer at Bright Future Makhwane.
She trained at Nkoyoyo before she took over from Zethu
at Makhwane. She is a resident of Makhwane and has a JC
qualification and a preschool training diploma from
Edugate.
Nomalizo is our community support worker at Bright
Future Makhwane. She trained at Nkoyoyo before she
joined Zethu to set up the new preschool at Makhwane.
She is a resident of Makhwane and has a JC qualification.
Kanyisile Mashinini
Kanyisile is our assistant ECD officer at Roma preschool.
She has been with SHAMBA since 2015, when she spent
the a term shadowing Teresa at Nkoyoyo preschool . She
is a resident of Roma and a former caregiver at the Roma
2 Neighbourhood Care Point.
Zethu has been with SHAMBA since 2016. She was the
deputy ECD officer at Ntambande until May 2018, when she
moved to Makhwane as the ECD officer and opened the
new school there. She has an IGCSE certificate.
Nhlanhla Bhembe
Nhlanla is our accounting technician. Nhlanhla completed
his CAT exams and will qualify as an accounting
technician once he has been accredited with practical
competencies, which we hope he will accomplish while
working for us.
Busisiwe Sithole
Busi joined the SHAMBA management team in June 2019
as ECCE Manager/Human Resources Manager. She had six
years experience as a preschool teacher trainer before
joining SHAMBA. She has certificates in early childhood
development, a certificate in adult education and a
diploma in human resources management.
Thulie is our assistant ECD officer at the Ntambande
preschool. She joined SHAMBA in 2018. Prior to that she
worked as a support worker at the Nkoyoyo preschool as
an employee of the Swedish Free Church. She is from the
Nkoyoyo community.
Cebsile is the ECD officer for the new preschool at
Maplazini. She has been with SHAMBA since January 2019.
She has a preschool teacher qualification from Edugate.
She is from the local community.
